Escaflowne was one of the first animes I ever saw 
all the way through, second only after Fushigi 
Yuugi. I absolutely loved all of the characters 
and the story line (I'm such a medieval fanatic), 
and the musical score is still by far my 
favourite out of all the animes I've seen.

As much as I love Allen, Van would probably rate 
as my most favourite character. He grows so much 
throughout the series, and by the end I really 
admired him. While my dreamcel would be 
practically any TV Van with wings, I can only 
afford to settle with one from the movie instead. 
I'm not complaining though, not one bit. I 
abolutely love the one cel I have, and it didn't 
cost me an arm and a leg.

I had to pass up the one major scene I'm really 
looking for on yahoo japan 2 weeks ago, a cel of 
Hitomi clutching to Van's arm from the final 
episode, when she tells him he doesn't have to 
fight for her. Sigh...it went so cheap too. ^_^;;
