Oh, yes, I do love mah albino boys :D
But of course, I DO love Dilandu/Cerena very
much...in fact, he/she/it used to be my absolute
favorite character...but the more I watched
Esca...the more the little spawn of blonde made
his way into my heart, and the imaginary world in
my head. You know, I went so far as to create an
adult character design for him, complete in Esca
style? That's right...I'm even currently writing
a ownderfull indulgent fanfic on my part, heh
^^;; I'm such a fanatic.
As for Cerena, she of course fits into my little
Chid-world wonderfully, and for some reason I see
them as having some type of bond later in life. I
do get annoyed when she gets protrayed as ultra-
feminine...she was DILANDU, for Christ's sakes,
leader of the Dragon Slayers and a swordsman to
rival Allen...you think she would forget it all
that quick and bow to the diginities of a lady? I
don't think so. Of course, my view is that SHE is
aware of Dilly, while Dilly was not aware of her,
and I may be wrong about that, but it's my
interpretation. I see her an almost Utena-esque
character...not trying to be girly, but not
trying to be a guy either. Just trying to be
herself. Of course, it's just like Allen to want
her to be a "lady"...^^;;
I also happen to think Cerena is one of the most
beautiful Esca women, next to Eries. As for
his/her voice...I didn't think it was so odd for
a boy to have a female seiyuu as it is done
throughout anime (Kenshin, Miki, Yuki, etc.)...I
think part of the point they were trying to
illustrate was Dilly's youth, and how intensely
high strung he was, and I DO think he sounded
rather masculine at points, because he is most
DEFINITELY a guy, with guy parts, so it's not
high-pitched due to femininity. It just really
really helps later on XD
Heh...ranted waaaay too long on that.
-Misha, who also has an affinity for the Dragon
Slayers...I want a cel of them as the ghosts! |
