I did try that once on a cel that had been
sitting on a dealers site for months.
Nonetheless, I was rejected. ^_^; They must have
known what they were doing, however, since they
did eventually sell it.
Timing is probably a factor. If they can afford
to have the cel sit and wait for a buyer to come
along who is willing to pay the price, why accept
a lower offer? You may have better luck with a
dealer who is dependant on selling in stock
merchandise to pay for new merchandise.
Another thing to consider is what price the
dealer paid for the cel. To begin with, they may
have paid a high price to get it, so they might
not be so eager to let it go for less than what
they paid.
Just some thoughts. Although I'm sure an actually
dealer better answer this question!
