PayPal also has to be weary of everything that
happens with the service. With all the scams and
frauds that have happened to PayPal in the
past... Like people setting up whole fake PayPal
mirror sites, people sending fake payment emails,
people comitting creditcard fraud.... I am glad
to see that PayPal is beefing up security and
monitering transactions better now! It actually
makes me feel better knowing that they're
policing their system more now.
Yes I know that sometimes a mistake is made, and
an innocent persons account may get wrongly
frozen now and then, and it happened to me too!
I was trying to receive a rather large sum of
money from overseas. I have been a paypal
customer for a long time and was in good
standing, but they froze the account, and I
understand why! They are trying to crack down on
any illegal activity, and I admit that through
their eyes receiving such a large sum from
another country is rather suspicious! And I am
glad they took the time to investigate it. True,
it took a little time and several phonecalls to
get the account unfrozen, and it was a pain in
the ass, but I am glad that they are watching,
and trying their hardest to stop the fraud.
I am a very patient person, and alot of times I
deal with this stuff better than most people. So
all I can tell you is, keep making those phone
calls! Just be patient and persistant and it
will all work out. Most people who have personal
and premier accounts have nothing to fear. The
number of satisfied and loyal PayPal customers
greatly outnumber the angry screwed-over feeling
ones.
Respectfully,
