I've been ignoring the checkout also. Even after 
winning an auction I just email the seller.

When you go through the checkout you see the 
seller's instructions on making payment (address, 
insurence option, ect.) eBay already has your 
info, asks if it's correct, lets you make a 
little note and then sends it to the seller.

I don't know why but I really, really don't like 
that system. It's a pathetic excuse to raise 
prices.
