Dear Nabs-chan,
Hi, yup, I try and remove ANY tape on cels all the
time. I use a non-chemical method which I call
the sticky tape method =). I have a LONG lengthy
explanation here:

This method requires TONS of patience to do =},
but the results are great 8)! If you follow this
thread downward, you will also see that this
method works great for those stickers on your cel
bags:

Plus here's a testimonial from me on a VERY dirty
sticky taped up cel:

When removing sticky tape and sticky tape residue
from cels, just remember a few simple things
though:
1. Use your fingernails to remove as much of the
tape as possible.
2. When using a piece of tape to remove sticky
tape residue, you can use almost any kind of tape
EXCEPT masking tape, duct tape, etc.. I recommend
pieces of transparent or clear tape.
Like I said, this method does NOT get the cel wet
at all =), and it removes the sticky residue quite
well. Rubbing alcohol tends to smear sticky
residue on the cel =P from my experience, plus
NEVER EVER USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER ON YOUR CEL.
Well, I hope this helps =}. If you have any more
questions, please feel free to ask ;).
Sincerely,
Sonia |
