And my experience with credit card fraud
regarding Paypal charges. . . My husband doesn't
always look at people's Ebay feedback before
bidding on things (thankfully he only bids once
in a blue moon) and one of the times he bid on
something, it was a bad seller. The seller seemed
to be communicating well, and I sent the money
via Paypal (he bids with my ID, so I handle
everything), then. . . nothing. No item, no
messages answered, no contact at all.
When we contacted our credit card company, we had
a lot of problems claiming fraud. The credit card
companies claim it this way: The charge to your
card was made by *Paypal* and not by the actual
person who committed the fraud. Since Paypal did
only exactly what you asked them to, there is no
fraud. This of course is bull$#!^ and we managed
to find someone at the credit card company who
would help us - but this all happened when Paypal
was still fairly new. Since then a lot of credit
card companies have taken measures to shield
themselves from claims of fraud through Paypal
and other online credit card services (or
whatever you would call Paypal's type of service).
In any case, good luck! Let us know how it turns
out. . . These people I've heard about make me
*REALLY* glad I'm not a Dragonball collector! o_0
