Did your pictures come out too big? If the scans 
aren't the right size, they will not resize to 
the table - the table will resize to them. Thus 
the table will be bigger both horizontally and 
vertically.

If the table was only bigger horizontally and it 
was the center box that was stretched out. . . 
I'm not sure how that would happen.

Can you display the table with your images in it 
so we can see exactly how it works? Becuase as it 
looks in your note, it appears 100% normal.
