I think it's more a case that with the higher
quality cels around, the "lesser" ones don't sell
as well. Even those who would buy "lesser" cels
often wind up unable to afford them in favor of
one or more of the higher quality cels.
There are still stores that sell the "lesser"
cels, but they're becoming fewer and further
between. Most of those cels are now on Ebay where
(if you do want one) you have to compete with
know-nothing Ebay bidders who don't have a clue
that they could get the higher quality cels, and
so they bid on the "lesser" cels as if those
*were* high quality.
If that makes any sense. . . I was up late last
night. ^_^;;
In any case, a lower price tag doesn't mean a
lower quality cel. The Mosquiton cel below is one
that I aquired relatively recently - the price
tag was all of $15 plus shipping. The Wong cel
under it (which is on it's way to me, so that is
the seller's scan) was aquired for approximately
$25 once all deals with the seller were ironed
out. I don't consider either to be "lesser" cels
in any way but price! ^_^
Good cheapies are still out there. It depends on
what shows you collect and where you look. ^_^
