I've been thinking the same thing A LOT lately, 
but have been reluctant to comment on it.  ^_^;  
I can think of a couple of series I used to 
collect aggressively that I can't get near 
anymore.  I miss the good old days... Noriko 
updates.... being at the right place at the right 
time.  Now, it's a battle over who has the 
deepest pockets.  I hardly EVER buy cels from 
certain series now simply because I REFUSE to pay 
these nutty prices.  

Maybe if enough people get tired of it, the 
prices will go down. ^_^;;;; (yes, I know, 
wishful thinking on my part. ha. ha.)
