- Start mentally removing the backgrounds from
scenes and trying to pick apart the layers in
your mind.
- When everyone else is thinking, "Wow, what a
great scene!" you're thinking, "Wow, I wonder
what lucky person ended up with that pan cel!"
- You can name at least two or three people who
happen to own a cel from the exact same sequence
you do, and can maybe even pull their gallery up
from memory. ^_^
- You spend many hours a week watching your
tapes/DVDs in FF-mode to pinpoint a particular
scene/frame.
- You keep your cels in a box because you're too
busy spending your money on the cels themselves
to spare enough for a celbook.
- You're afraid to order a celbook from someone,
because they have a few hundred dollars' worth of
cels you want to buy from their site, too, and it
*does* make sense to combine shipping... :o)
- You've ever saved an image from Ebay of a
dreamcel auction you were trying very, very hard
to win and still lost... so it's on your computer
to inspire you the next time a similar cel comes
up.
- You can recognize bits of kanji on Yahoo!Japan
("cel", "unstuck", "pencil sketch", etc), even if
you don't know the first thing about kanji.
- You're willing to sit in front of the computer
for five minutes straight, doing nothing but
click refresh.
- You get up at 6 AM or eat lunch at your desk or
work a little late, just to make sure you're in
front of a computer for the end of an auction. |
