I have a LU cel from the same sequence as yours.
Won it at ebay for a hefty price and received it
damaged (the seller made no mention of the fairly
extensive damage). After I calmed down from
seeing the damage, I decided that I had wanted a
cel from that sequence for SOOOOO long that I
couldn't let it go. I figured since I also had
an illustration degree I could fix it myself ...
color matched it and everything. Wouldn't you
know it, the colors blended just right and the
cel looks as good as new (so to speak). And
before I get flamed ... I do NOT necessarily
recommend people handling their own
restorations. Color mixing to match the studios
colors can be especially difficult (I can image
how hard some of the f/x colors would be) and if
you don't do it right you might be INCREDIBLY
disappointed. So if you're not confident don't
do any touch up work and go see a professional
cel restorer.
I just wanted to share my success ... sorry for
the long post. |
