I usually watch Hobby Shop K's site for a closer
estimate of what the *working* yen rate is.
Another place you can watch is Taro. Take any cel
there for sale and divide the given yen price by
the given US dollar price - that will give you
another example of the current working yen rate.
Most of the time - where there is no quoted price
in US dollars - I expect to be quoted a yen rate
of about "four below" the rate that the converters
give. Meaning, if the converter gives me 120 to
the dollar - I expect no more than 116 to the
dollar. But that is just a rule of thumb.
