Yep, been there. In my case it was a YJ auction. 
I'd been looking for the cel for a while, and 
then it came up miraculously on YJ. I raced 
forward, got my bid in to a deputy service.

But, the deputy service never bid and the cel 
went for WAY below my max bid.

Or e-bay *Buy It Now* and it's already 
bought . . . or a Taro update 3 hours after you 
go to bed and 4 hours before you get up, only to 
see a wishlist cel on someone else's page 
congratulating their Taro timing . . .

And the there's when . . .
