I always thought they usded digital shaders to 
make the images for the Lion King.  Like, they 
scan in the pencils, and color them using some 
proprietary/custom software.  I didnt think any 
big production house used cel paint anymore.  I 
think the Little Mermaid was the last feature 
Disney did where they used cels.
