Is this customary action for cel sellers to take part in? Some advice please!!!! (Tue May 1 17:01:06 2001 )
A devastated fan who was really hurt!:((

I am new to this game of buying cels and only
collect on one character (who I will not mention
now). My question is this. I was emailed by the
owner of a cel that I was DYING to own in January
just about begging me to buy some of her cels as
she was in desperate need for money and fast. I
told her I would buy that cel I was DYING for and
she agreed. Then a few days later (I'm waiting
to get and mail that M.O.) she backed out. I had
my hopes shattered. It was promised to me and
she decided not to sell it. I accepted her
decision and was polite about it (I'm sure many
of you would have had a fit, eh?). Then just
last night I checked out her site and see "MY"
cel has been sold. I was shocked, disgusted,
hurt, pissed off, betrayed, etc. I sent her a
nice email stating that I was supposed to get
that cel and kept telling her I wanted it and it
had been promised to me in January. My question
is this. Is this customary for sellers to do
this to people? I find it rather dishonest and
nasty to break a promise like that. I kept
emailing her every 3-4 weeks telling her I still
wanted that cel, too. Is this something you all
would do? If so, I am not ruthless enough to
sell cels then. I really thought she was a kind
person but this was so horrible to do to me. She
has one more almost like it and says "Trade
only". My other question is this. Should I semi
demand she sell me that one since SHE blew our
agreement/deal on the cel I was DYING for? Is
this something that would be considered an
acceptable request in your opinion? I mean, I
would do it if I screwed up like that. I know
she's getting rid of everything and she WILL sell
that one too one day and I don't want some one
else to get that one also. Any tips on how I
should handle this mess? Thanks for any advice.
