The panel is more intro than advanced. The 
informal get together on Friday will be as

Cel Collection Fan Panel

So you want to own an actual cel of your favorite 
anime character. This panel is designed to do two 
things. First, we will provide the information you 
need to know before you go out and buy a cel if 
you never have done so before. This information 
will cover the animation production process, types 
of cels, and the various effects used in anime. 
The second area we will cover are those factors 
that determination the price of cels. This will 
include cel grading, special cels, evaluating 
damage, rarity and reproduction cels. Examples 
will be provided throughout the presentation.



What I am looking for people to do on the panel is 
to present on one of the sub-areas of the talk. 
Specifically, these five things:

The animation process
Different types of cels (normal production)
Different types of cels (non-standard)
Special effect cels
How to grade cels

I am pretty much going to do the pricing segment, 
since I pulling comparitive cels to illustrate 
pricing points. This is not going to be precise 
pricing, but rather how to compare cel prices and 
know what is reasonable when compared to 
something else. I can do the other areas of the 
presentation if no one wants to do them, but I 
would prefer not to (I really do not like hearing 
myself talk, even if it appears otherwise. No 
really. Honest  ).

If you are interested in doing one of the segments 
please let me know. I should have example cels for 
all the segments if you do not have them, but 
would definitely prefer if some people would be 
willing to lend us better example cels or some 
examples cels that I do not own (haken mono cels 
fall into this group for me). If you are, please
