Don't believe whatever the post office idiots
quote you for shipping - they'll tell you
$9-$11. It's more expensive. :P
I've shipped 2 packages to the UK this past
week. (I will no longer ship internationally
on any of my auctions, though, due to the fact
that morons run the US post office branch near
me and I lose $5-$12 *every time* I ship
internationally because they can't give me an
exact quote.) I cut 2 priority boxes and
flip them inside out (so all you see is the
brown side) and cut them so they're a little
bigger than the cel/background. 2 layers of
priority box cardboard seems to be pretty
strong, and the cardboard itself is fairly
light.
Shipping this way will cost you $18-$20 depending
on the insurance cost. (This is air parcel
post.) You can ship a bit cheaper at airmail
(which you CANNOT insure) for about $10-$12.
Ground shipping is much cheaper (about $6-$8
but takes 30-90 days to arrive (not worth it to
the buyer).
