Hello,
I have the dubious distinction of having been the
high bidder for the nausicaa cel for about two
days. Some updates:
If you look at the bid history for the item,
you'll see that five bidders retracted right
before the end of the auction. All five left the
exact same message, something like "just wait,
i'll buy a digital camera and show you all."
first off, who would retract a bid with that
message except the seller? secondly, what are
the chances all four or five bidders cancelled
within minutes of one another AND with the same
bizzare message?
second, the seller is a complete moron- not
because he's morally bad but because he's a bona
fide idiot. s.s. future trunks' account was
cancelled by eBay, so he conducts an auction
under a different name saying "this is s.s.
future trunks, my comp. screwed up" so he's using
a friend's account. what? what does your local PC
have to do with your logon on a website? his
shills (or other accounts) cancel their orders
with the same message. duh.
third, and most important, i emailed eBay safe
harbor and "time sensitive." time sensitive
negged the auction and all bids and suspeneded
his account. here's a reprint of their email to
me.

Hello,
i am currently the high bidder on an auction for a
collectible that the seller apparently does not
own- it
appears he stole the digital image from the
actual owner of
the cel and is posturing as though he owns it.
please
cancel my bid as i will absolutely not complete
the
transaction given the very serious questions
about the
integrity of both the item and the seller.
please refer to the discussion thread linked
