Studio are still making genga drawing even
for anime done with computers : It's far
easier for character designers to draw with a
pen than to draw on a computer.

In fact, even douga are still done in the
usual way. Then they are scaned and it's those
pictures that are colored. The computer may
help to "generate" in-between drawing automaticaly
but most of them are still done by hand.
