LOL! Gee, I wish I *was* there for the chair. 
Even further evidence that anime fans, 
especially at cosplay, will cheer almost 
ANYTHING. 

A similar thing happened at Anime Central 
2000 - for some reason, maybe it was a 
carry-over from another con - about halfway 
through the cosplay a large group of people 
started chanting "dance! dance! dance!" while 
someone was onstage and by the end of the 
cosplay the whole audience was doing it. We 
got a few people to dance, too! Including the 
MC and someone who cosplayed as one of 
the bug-creature thingies from Nausicaa. ^-^

Sorry, just had to share . . . that cry will echo in 
my mind forever . . . so tempted to shout it at 
non-anime events now!
