Having some fun and two questions. . . ^_^ (Mon Oct 30 07:26:04 2000 )
Drac of the Sharp Smiles

drac@(removetomail)tp.net

I've been having a blast rewatching some of YuYu
Hakusho. . . Where else can I hear great lines
like (Yuusuke to a teeny tiny opponent): "I don't
have the strength to hit you but I can still fall
on you." ^_^ (He won the battle. ^_^)

Anyhow. . . My first question is completely
un-cel-related. (Stay tuned for the cel-related
one.) How is the school grading system measured
in percents in Japan? In one episode the
characters are challenged by a teacher to make at
least 50% on an exam. A couple of them seem fine
with the fact that they already make 53% already.
Now I know what 50% means in a US school - it's
not even passing! (And US schools are pretty
lenient. ~_~;;) So does it mean something
different in Japan, or is this part of the joke?
Or perhaps this is a bad translation on the part
of the fansubber?

My *cel-related* question is this: I've been
wanting a cel from YuYu of the demon character
called Rando, in his demon form. I've only ever
seen two, one in someone's gallery and one for
sale on Ebay (I was outbid). Does anyone here
know where I might find one for sale? (I have
seen a number of cels of Rando in his human
disguise, but I want the demon form.) Or perhaps
does someone here have one they're interested in
selling? This is assuming anyone but me actually
remembers Rando, who only appears for about three
episodes. ^_^;;;;;

Many Sharp Smiles,
