"I agree! I have encountered such prejudice from
YJ sellers; it's amazing! They start out so
nice and polite, with their "konichiwas"
and "arigatous", then when they find out that
you are not "one of them", they drop their
courtesy like a hot potato!"
Well, you're not being too courteous here either,
aren't you?
I find it strange that a seller would
do that just because you are of a different
nationality. I have made many transactions with
Japanese sellers and seldom have any problems with
them. One thing is, you have to be polite. If
you're friendly, prompt and helpful, I do not
think any seller -whether Japanese or not- would
turn down the sale. The other thing is pretty
obvious, you have to understand their language.
If you have done both of these, I'm one hundred
percent sure you'll have less problems!
The other point I want to bring up is, the world
is made up of many many countries. I think
topics such as whether you like the Japanese(or
vice versa) shouldn't be brought up here. This is,
I believe, an international cels forum. Please
remember that people of different naitonalities
will be reading what you typed. Please show some
common sense, courtesy and sensitivity. I do not
believe that the Japanese(if they're reading these
now) would appreciate these comments. More often
than not, I see the Americans treating this forum
like as if they own it. Maybe you people can show
some restraint?
Anyway, keep up those useful exchanges, I know I
will be enjoying them.
P.S. I'm not an American(isn't that pretty
obvious? ;)... And for those of you who're easily
offended, I don't hate America either. I believe
I speak from a fairer viewpoint and for some of
the misunderstood people out there. So don't come
after me with your katana(s)!
