Re: Re: When DBGT hits the airwaves the boom will end... (Fri Jan 19 15:13:35 2001 )

Ture, I have watched the Gogeta movie, man, he
only appeared for like 30 seconds, with only a
few nice looking sequences, I have seen many nice
galleries, including all the ones on DB cel web
ring, however there are probably less than 10
cels I have seen that I would consider A quality
DBZ cel.

Although there are lots of DBZ cels out there,
but not so many are Primo cels, I have watched a
lot of episodes, and it is very hard for me to
pick at least 5 sequences of cels I would even
want per episode, forget about cels that are true
A-quality, maybe 1 or two sequences per episode.

What is A quality cel? Read on (this info is from

A Cels
Cels are generally put into 3 categories, A B
and C level cels. "A" cels are considered to be
the best quality image possible,as defined by
specific aspects. The image must be well centered
on the cel. The image must generally be a face
shot (shot of the characters face, generally
shoulders up), the eyes must be open and the
character must be facing forward so that both
eyes are clearly looking straight. The mouth
should be closed, it's nice if the character is
smiling, although for some characters that makes
the cel rare in itself no matter what level the
cel! If the cel fails in any one of these
criteria it is generally knocked down one level
to a "B" cel. For example, if this image was
centered to the left side of the cel it would be
considered a "B" level cel due to centering.
While some may question why collectors are so
picky, I guess the saying there's little room at
the top comes to mind. Expect to pay a premium
price for cels in this category. Pan cels are
different and I'll discuss those separately.
