well what I do is I have a couple of Back 
up  "noone seems to like this series but me" 
collections. Characters That I really like from 
shows that arent as popular..
  Then I can let the basic no frills Tasuki slide 
and buy a very nice b/g Raiel or pan mosquiton 
cel at a fraction of the cost and still feel 
pretty dang happy. Id do the same happy dance at 
wahtever price..
 Im not even gonna go into the fact that I might 
have to break myself completely of the FY habit 
now that the OVA is released and picking up steam 
in the states. too painful..
  Part of the problem is that some people think 
that if an item isnt expensive then theres 
something wrong with it. It might have line fade 
for 30.00 but for 230.00 its alternative 
highlights due to aging...
The best point brought up already is that there 
are about 200 odd episodes of your favorite 
series..eventually its going to flood the market 
and your prices will drop enough to buy what you 
want. You just have to be patient. 
 thats what I tell myself when I go cel hunting..
