technically, I believe its perfectly legal to end your
auction early on Ebay. It could be this seller got a much
higher offer than expected, or a trade which they might
have preferred, hence they ended early... or perhaps they 
wanted money quicker, I cant say.

but no, they didnt break any ebay rules that I know of.
