Yeah, you might want to watch use of less-than and
greater-than signs when posting; on HTML-enabled
boards it reads it as HTML.  This is probably why
the rest of your post "dissapeared": if you
view the source of the page one of the problem
posts is on, you will see the full text, starting
with the missing <.
