I completely agree -- the gengas are so much more interesting.

Personally I'm becoming addicted to gengas -- especially
when one see the sequences. They vary greatly. One can see
the animators decide things on the sheets of paper. I get
a closer feeling to the art and the process than I do with
just cels.
 
For example, I have a three genga set of Nuriko (to keep the
FY theme going). The URL to my FY page is above. They are
very different from one another. 

Remember that sometimes when you buy them, you'll get more
than one. That Suboshi comes with three gengas (which 
look like background material-- but maybe not).
