Yeah, you're right - Rankin/Bass cels are very hard to get.
Anyone who happens to come across a Hobbit,
Return of the King, Flight of the Dragons, Last Unicorn,
or even a Thundercats cel should consider himself/herself to
be quite lucky...
I am not certain, but I dont think that
the studio released any cels for these productions. Perhaps
the ones that are floating around are "stolen" (IE- pieces
the production staff took and then sold to help pay the
bills)? Sort of like Kenshin, Evangelion, or Pokemon cels? |
