Hello The hairdrier method seems to work best on cels which have some areas stuck, but are not badly stuck in large areas. I have used this method on lots of cels, and have had /great/ luck with cels that were lightly to moderately stuck, but it seems like cels with large areas stuck have problems being heated evenly enough to remove the paper without causing the paint (which is usually rather thick in the stuck area) to start causing the cel to curl. I have /always/ stopped at this stage because nothing is worth the possibility of damaging the cel itself in my opinion. Best of luck! Whatever method you choose, remember to try it on a cel that you aren't too attached to the first time you try anything! Ryochan |
