I don't know for sure if certain colors tend to fade the
lines faster, but I know I've observed it in Shoujo Kakuemi
Utena cels of Anthy and Akio.  It seems their skin color in
certain lightings tends to fade (I've found this through
looking at many image scans at many dealers sites, talking to
dealers, seeing some of these cels in person etc).  It seems
very shade dependent too.  The "normal" tones will have
'eaten' the lines while the "shaded" tones on the same cel
will be perfectly fine.
