Well, animators don't usually paint cels at all. That's what cel painters are for. -_^ Animators do the drawings the cels are based on. I know what you mean tho, and no, if a cel is painted on both sides, it means someone goofed the side which is normally painted on (the back). Only the thin lines between areas of color, and little white accents (like the 'nervous sweat drop') are usually on the front. Sometimes there is airbrushing on the front, but most times that is a wholly separate layer. It is not unusual to have 'blush' airbrushing on the front of the cel. Hope that helps! Ryochan |
