If you see a cel with laser copy background and selling
outrageous price, just forget it, it's priced too high.
If it's a hand-painted background, yes, it makes the
cel price goes higher, but definitely not a laser copy
background.
Sometimes, the studio does use the laser copy background
to make certain special effects. However, the studio also
has the original hand-painted background as well. I have
seen some cels that the first or last frame in the sequence
gets the hand-painted background, while the other frames of
cels are selling with the laser copy backgrounds. |
