I fully agree with you. Cel dealers need to make a living
too, but what I've heard is that most have regualr jobs and
cel selling is just hobby. Maybe I was wrong.
Many people on this Forum have a tendency to complain about
high prices, but what they don't think is that the dealers
have to pay a certain price first and many only make between
10 - 30 percent profit, which is not much to live on. With
supply and demand, these dealers have allowed themselves to
raise the prices on some cels, which is a natural occurance in
the business world. Look at Beanie Babies and computer program
prices for example. These items cost pennies to make, yet they
sell for outragous prices sometimes and that's only because the
consumer drives the prices up.
I look at many cel sites and I notice that some series are darned
cheap, but no one seems to be buying. Then there are the series
that are very popular and priced accordingly.
I am in business myself and sometimes I wonder about the cel prices
on some sites and how the dealer is able to survive on the tiny amount
of money they bring in.
Metaphor (who supports American cel deales, yet rarely finds
