Being an on and off cel collector since I was 12, I have come to the realization that you have to have connections to get alot of good cels. I have been on the internet for about 3 years, and since late 1996 cel collecting has become more and more popular. Many new cel sites are run by collectors trying to become second hand dealers. Hence they buy cels from various series to make a small, or in some cases huge profits. Even though they might not particularly care for the series and are just in it for the money. And there are other cel collectors who help maintain or distribute cels for someone else, and inturn get first pick at the selection. Because of this many collectors have not been given fair chance at a selection. When a cel site advertises cels they don't have posted to the public it is impossible to get any of those cels. The only way you can get a choice is having connections with the dealer or being able to hack into their directories, which in both cases is unfair. I have found myself unable to purchase many cels from some sites, due to the fact that they gave prior notice to certain customers. And It wasn't because I saw the page a day too late. All in all, you either have to have the connections to get alot of good cels on the web. -Rob Gokou3@aol.com |
