Having the silk paper stuck to the cel is not a problem at all.
Anyone can tear off the silk paper
without damaging the cel itself (as long as it is torn off
with moderate care) Yanking the silk paper off may cause
paint to chip off though. Of course, the parts of the silk
paper that touches the cel itself (the painted areas) will
stay attached to the cel, but it will prevent the cel from
attaching to anything from then on :)
Hope that helps Mrs. Tanaka ^_^;
Remember PLEASE RIP the silk paper off with moderate care!
I experimented with many 100-300 yen cels to test the infallibility of
those silk papers and in about 1/6 times...err..paint chipped
off ^_^
Also make sure that the cel itself does not bend and that it
physically touches the ground at all times when you are removing
the silk paper). This is similar to what you would do
when removing pencil sketches from cels.
