Since we're wrangling about the legality and the ethics of
using cel scans from someone else's web site, I'm curious
as to how many folks have copied html from someone's else's
site without obtaining permission?  I have.

Is that immoral?  I don't know.  Is it illegal?  Probably, 
if the law book quotations Yann posted above are accurate.
At any rate, I would think that in one sense that 
"taking" someone's html is even more "wrong" than 
"taking" an image.  The html is often the original work of
a web site host..a scan of cel, on the other hand, is a 
copy of someone else's original art.
