How do they determine how much to be the price to set up? I think a lot of that is how much money they would like to make off of their sale and where they got it from to begin with. Also, whoever is doing the pricing might value a cel differently than someone else. As someone purchasing a cel, go for the lower price but be sure to ask questions...two cels that look the same for different prices may have differences that you don't realize. What would be the good rules/standards to choose a valuable cel? It seems like this question is always under debate around here. There are no rules set in stone and remember...the most important part is the value of the cel to it's owner. 1) Well, I think having a well-centered cel definitely makes it worth more to most people. Large image too. Open eyes is pretty much standard...though there are som closed eyes ones I'd go for. The smile is really up to the person buying the cel...I don't necessarily prefer it but I know a lot are advertised as being somehow better because the character is smiling or looking cute. As for 'looking nice' what looks nice is also up to the individual... Images that fill the whole cel are generally more expensive I find. Cut off body parts (i.e. obvious cutoffs where the character is behind a wall or something) generally don't look good so the cel is worth less. A background generally increases the value of a cel I've found...but there are plenty of perfectly nice ones are really valuable nice ones without backgrounds. Keys |
