I have to agree with one point but not the other. 

As a buyer I often go to Ebay not just to find rare items, but
also to find bargains. I know I am not the only one, so not
so spectacular/rare items will still interest me if the price
is good. There is also feedback on the seller and buyers so you
have some idea who you are dealing with. I appreciate that kind
of security, although it is not always 100% accurate.  

As for the over-publicising and hype, it is SEVERELY annoying.
Buyers can see for themselves what a cel is, and seeing names 
of other cel dealers or even seeing them implied to feels quite 
unprofessional to me. In fact, even though it is not me they are
talking about (what flattery if it were!), I still feel offended
for the dealers mentioned! 

A simple statement about having cels for sale impresses me 
much more.
