I just wanted to mention that you can find those "cel books" in the US at a few stores. I know that in Los Angeles, CA, you can find them at Kinokuniya Stationery & Gifts. I picked one up a few weeks ago. They're made by Kokuyo, the same as the ones from Japan. The size to look for is A-4 Wide. It's important to get the A-4 WIDE clear file, or else your cels will not fit (A-4 WIDE size is 10" x 11"). The 20 page A-4 Wide Clear File by Kokuyo cost $5.70 plus tax (8.25%) = $6.17 US total. (Or you can get them cheaper in Japan (about 300 Y plus tax).) I hope this saves some of you some money, so you don't have to order them from Japan. Kinokuniya Stationery & Gifts is located in Yaohan Plaza, on the second floor (above the supermarket). Address: 333 S. Alameda St. #200 Los Angeles, CA 90013 The Kinokuniya Stationery and Gifts in San Jose, CA should also have them too. I'm not sure if the regular Kinokuniya Bookstores carry this size or not, but they would probably be able to get them. Or just stop by your local art supply store and purchase a porfolio made of polypropylene, such as one made by Itoya. One thing I do is I hang my cel books (the smaller books) on a coat hanger in my closet. That way the cels hang vertically. -Chad Kawakami Internet Guide to Anime Cels http://www-scf.usc.edu/~ckawakam/cels PS. Anime Link (offline cel dealer) has some cels of Deedlit. He also had some cels from Sakura Taisen, but most of them sold quite early. |
