Heather wrote to mention the drawing had "Flight of the 
Dragons" written on it, so I guess these cels may also be 
available somewhere ^^

Perhaps the people who are supplying the stores in japan
with these Last Unicorn cels also have some from 
this anime?

...And yes, I agree with you heartily on the plot,
and acting, etc ^^;;; I will admit when I saw it for the 
first time (about 14 years ago!) I just loved it. But I was a
kid so .. ^^;;

from my understanding, the cartoon was based on a book, but
only loosely - unlike the last unicorn which was pretty 
faithful to the original story...

I would love to get a dragon or two though, and the 
backgrounds and colour schemes are nice ^^
