Did I make any kind of indication that I wasn't polite to them?!
       No, I don't think so.
I apologize. I assumed the lack of tact that you have demonstrated in this
forum extended to your other communications as well.
What you mean with they doing us a favor?!
They are doing us a favor by selling directly to us rather than only doing
business with dealers in our country who are more capable of dealing with them
in their own language. I am sure there are plenty of American dealers who would
be happy to pay Pocket's requested prices, then turn around and sell the cels to us
at a 50 percent markup. Pocket would still be able to make its money and they
would not have to go to the trouble of dealing with all of us directly.
If not for us foreigners, they'd prolly not be in business.
Indirectly, this may be true. But there is little need to sell directly to the world
public when you can sell to dealers in the respective countries and still make a profit.
Also, to address the other poster who requested that Aniboybob shut up, in my mind
the openness of expression found on the internet is a truly wonderful thing. We cannot
stifle any open expression (except vulgar personal attacks and threats) without
losing some of our own freedoms. I would much rather tackle the Sisyphian task of
encouraging Aniboybob to realize that the American perception of the roles of businesses
and consumers is not the only way of seeing that interaction, or even the RIGHT one.
Most of us are quite aware that Japanese culture is very different from our own, that
formality and politeness are expected when dealing with others in a business sense.
Once again I have probably said too much.
