I've been observing this topic with great interest.
Both sides have legitimate points to make, and
made them articulately.
However, I respectfully disagree with the comment
made by Lady Z below:
"I simply cannot suffer fools who choose to make
a big deal out of nothing, and then fill up a perfectly
useful space in a forum on the 'unfair practices of auctions.'"
I think this forum is a legitimate place for cel
collectors to "whine." I view this forum as a
place where members of a global community with a
specific interest go to chat about this interest.
If people are discouraged from sharing their views on
this forum, where else can they turn to?
As for this practice of placing bids at the last second,
I've been on both ends. And if I lose out on a cel I
really wanted to get, I simply e-mail my congratulations
to the victor on a well fought auction.
Sincerely,
Antony
