I have noticed the differing animation styles. The picture of the
2 feather people (sigh, I don't even know their names and I already
want the cels!) on that link you posted are different than the cels I've
seen of them.

You're lucky to have a video store that rents un-subbed videos! ^_^
I have to say, one of the things that attracts me the most about the show
(other than the character designs) is the cheap (compared to what I normally pay)
prices of the cels! I've yet to see one over $50, group shots, backgrounds, and all!
