Nintendo does not permit Pokemon cels to sell in the public
market. They may keep them for the future, like giving
them out in various events and contests. That's usually
what the game companies do with their licensed cels. Like
in the old days, Capcom didn't allow any Street Fighter
Movie cels to go out in the public, they only give them out
in conventions and events like Tokyo Game Show and E3 if
you participated in their contests.
However, there are a few Pokemon cels circulating in the
public cel market earlier because these are the stolen
ones from the studio. They sold out quickly even though the
prices are very expensive. |
