on this forum, I'll try to take a stab:
Your question is really two, so I'll answer
in turn.
First, many anime has an "adult" component.
And it really depends on one's view of what
is "adult." In my view, an adult component
is anything that a grade school or older
child wouldn't be able to handle w/o adult
guidance. And this is not necessarily
nudity, bouncing bossoms, etc. For example,
anime involving rape, which was a story arc
in Fushigi Yugi when two main characters
thought they were raped on separate occasions,
would be adult material in my view.
And then there is the more traditional or
mainstream view of "adult" material, that is
nudity or scenes depicting sexual acts.
Some anime seems to revolve around adult material,
while others have a sexual component, like Ranma 1/2.
And there are some in between, like Weather Report
Girl (in my view at least). (As an aside, the hard
core adult anime that I've come across are silly and
ridculous in terms of the depictions of the acts, at
least in my view.)
As for collecting, the answer is no. And probably
because my tastes gravitate toward slightly less
adult material like Ranma, El Hazard, etc.
