I'm guessing that the people who distribute the cels for certain studios do it. There are plenty of "bad" cels that have background or scenes that are only backgrounds. If they take these backgrounds and put them with "nice" cels from mid-sequence, they can probably sell them for even more. I'm guessing this is also why non-production painted backgrounds (the ones that obviously didn't take as much planning or effort) are made (probably by the same people). This would explain why the mismatching backgrounds and 'fake' ones are so evenly spread. Of course, this is just a theory... ^_^ Keys |
