Unless you're paying by credit card, which very few companies in Japan accept or doing a wire transfer, you've got to wait the week is takes to mail a payment over there.
A friend of mine in Japan tells me the process of cashing the MOs is an arduous process too.
Unless you're getting your stuff via EMS(I've gotten some EMS packages overnight,) air mail from Japan also takes about a week.
Sending payments to merchants in the US has taken 3 days on average. For a dedicated merchant like Anime Nation, one would expect turn-around in 3 days at the most unless you're paying via check. Then there are our ultra speedy online credit card ordering forms.
