The flip answer is that of course it does, since
all pink-haired anime girls are evil. ;o)
But to be honest, I think it's a little creepy--
but creepy is what that scene is going for,
right? It would be odd to have a transformation
sequence into an older, more evil version of
yourself without feeling a little twinge of
something. And creepy is just fine; it matches
the mood.
Artistically, I think it might be good if you had
a little more definition in her hands and feet.
With the hands, perhaps have the fingers splayed
enough so that the hands don't look SD. And with
the feet, make it clear as to whether she's
wearing boots, shoes, heels, or is barefoot.
The color scheme you picked was very interesting.
With the low contrast between dark purple and
black, the scan makes it a bit difficult to see
the details that are there, but I think all cels--
and fancels in particular-- look better in
person. I do like the red eyes; they're a very
nice contrast to the rest of the darkness. |
