I most definitely know the sensation. This
coming semester is my most important in working
on my doctorate. Two stats courses (and aside
from miraculously pulling off a B in the first
one 2 years ago it's been 30 years since my last
math class). Plus an advanced instructional
design course. Plus a full-time job, two kids, 3
cats, and a husband who is the epitome of
the "absent-minded professor."
Yes, I am certifiable.
Never apologize for education, or for taking your
time in doing it. Some of it is great, some
sucks royally, but it can never be taken away
from you. My undergrad degree was in English and
secondary education, but I also have done work in
real estate brokerage, computer programming, art,
voice, a year of law school, and of course the
masters in library science and 3/4 of a
doctorate. Every day I find another way in which
all the weird things I learned along the way
connect.
And student teaching is a lot of work, but it's
such a joy. That may possibly have been my
favorite experience back then. I hope you'll
love it to.
Best wishes and lots of luck. And when I get my
whopping big 2% raise after 2 years of no
increases, I'll take a good look at that sales
page of yours! |
